Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
  • 5+ years of experience working directly in the Flight Engineering discipline (e.g., Propulsion, Flight Controls, Aerodynamics, or the Boeing specific occupation code ā€œ6Eā€)
  • Experience with design, development, test, or operation of Aerospace Vehicles or subsystems/units

Responsibilities

  • Manages employees performing engineering and technical activities in the areas of Flight Engineering including Propulsion, Guidance & Control and/or Aerodynamics
  • Develops and executes project and process plans, implements policies and procedures, and sets operational goals
  • Acquires resources for projects and processes, provides technical management of suppliers, and leads process improvements
  • Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners, and direct reports
  • Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products, and processes
  • Manages, develops, and motivates employees

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced Engineering, Math, or Physics degree
  • Related technical experience in Guidance & Control, Aerodynamics, or Propulsion
  • Experience with Earned Value Management, managing suppliers, air-launched weapons, ground-launched weapons, managing complex technical development activities, and exposure to systems engineering requirements derivation and validation
