Requirements
- 12+ years of experience in data and analytics security architecture.
- 12+ years of data security principles, practices, and technologies.
- 8+ years experience with AWS, cloud-based data platforms (e.g. Snowflake, Databricks) and analytics tools (e.g. Tableau, Sigma).
- Solid grasp of security frameworks and compliance standards (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, GDPR, CCPA).
- Experience securing AI/ML workloads.
- Experience with Data Governance platforms.
- Proven ability to establish data and analytics security best practices.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
- Experience working collaboratively with third-party vendors as well as data scientists, ML/data/platform engineers, software engineers, product development, and cloud operations teams.
- Superb communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills with the ability to influence and mentor others.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-functional team environment.
- Relevant security certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CCSP).
- Experience in a SaaS environment.
- Experience with data loss prevention tools.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive data and analytics security architecture aligned with industry standard processes and Workday’s security policies.
- Define security standards, policies, and procedures for data access, encryption, and protection across all data platforms and tools.
- Own the design and implementation of security controls for our data and AI platforms, ensuring data confidentiality, integrity, and availability.
- Conduct and/or participate in security assessments and vulnerability analyses to identify and mitigate potential risks.
- Ensure compliance with relevant data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA) and industry standards (e.g., SOC 2, ISO 27001).
- Develop and maintain a data security incident response plan.
- Collaborate with other teams within Workday to integrate security into data and analytics workflows.
- Provide security mentorship and expertise to partners across the organization.
- Communicate security risks and mitigation strategies to senior management.
- Evaluate and recommend security technologies and solutions to improve data protection.
- Partner with Enterprise Security on security review processes for technologies to be implemented.
- Lead the implementation and integration of security tools and platforms.
- Work closely with the other EDS teams to secure implemented products.
- Foster a culture of security awareness and standard processes within the EDS organization.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with specific technologies and tools such as AWS, Snowflake, Databricks, Tableau, and Sigma.
