Director – Nikeskims Footwear Product Design

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a design-related discipline or equivalent combination of education, experience, or training
• 8+ years’ experience in a design-related role, including 2 years in a management/leadership role preferred
• Footwear design experience preferred
• Passion for the fashion industry, the aesthetic and understanding of the landscape
• 5 years as a senior or lead designer in a corporate setting or design firm preferred
• Experience in international markets preferred
• Drawing, sketching 2D and 3D capability or ability to learn
• Proficient in Photoshop, Illustrator, Email and Outlook
• Ability to travel both domestically and internationally

Responsibilities

• Shaping and driving design direction across the division
• Leading the design team to execute product concepts that push boundaries
• Championing product integrity, innovation, and performance
• Overseeing key initiatives from concept through execution
• Developing design strategies and ensuring excellence through advanced concepts
• Managing presentations and communicating design visions to a variety of audiences
• Bringing strategic innovation into the category

Preferred Qualifications
