Responsibilities

  • Monitor and ensure compliance with applicable labor laws, regulations, and internal policies
  • Maintain and update the employee handbook, HR policies, and procedures to reflect legal and regulatory changes
  • Support internal and external audits by maintaining accurate and complete HR records, including I-9s, personnel files, and training documentation
  • Conduct periodic audits of HR files and records to ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements
  • Track and report on mandatory trainings (e.g., harassment prevention, safety compliance, wage & hour)
  • Assist in the investigation and documentation of employee relations matters, ensuring legal compliance and appropriate resolution
  • Ensure proper classification of employees (exempt vs. non-exempt, contractor vs. employee)
  • Coordinate with Legal, Payroll, and other departments to resolve compliance-related issues
  • Partner with HR leadership to deliver compliance training to managers and staff
  • Stay informed of employment legislation and regulatory trends that may affect the organization
