Requirements
- Bachelors degree preferred
- Advanced subject matter expertise in default servicing, specifically Loss Mitigation
- 5+ years loss mitigation leadership experience, overseeing loss mitigation end-to-end
- Ability to work independently and cross-functionally to solve complex problems
- Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written)
- Excellent critical thinking and logical reasoning abilities
- Considered within the entire company to be an expert in their process areas.
Responsibilities
- Lead a team of loss mitigation professionals, providing coaching, development, and performance management.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including risk management, compliance, legal, and customer service, to optimize loss mitigation processes
- Ensure that day-to-day servicing operations are completed successfully across loss mitigation.
- Help build out the default servicing team and operationalize default-related processes by creating training materials, writing standard operating procedures, documenting best practices, and driving the adoption of new procedures
- Act as internal subject matter expert for all default-related processes
- Review control reports to ensure compliance with state, regulatory, and investor guidelines
- Liaise between all third-party vendors and ensure escalations are responded to timely and accurately
- Drive process efficiencies and improvements across servicing default operations
- Help inform product development and enhancements by synthesizing and delivering servicing process/platform feedback to senior leadership.
Preferred Qualifications
- Ability to manage teams and concurrent workflows in an effective, efficient, organized manner
- 10+ years of Loss Mitigation leadership experience
- Ability to be the first line of defense between their team and the rest of the company when issues and problems arise
