Associate Director – Math

Requirements

• A bachelor’s degree in a math-related field is required.
• Minimum 1-year teaching experience, preferred with K-12 students.
• Comfortable interacting and communicating with both students and parents.

Responsibilities

• Teaches math (K-12) classes on a weekly basis.
• Participates in the hiring and training of part-time staff.
• Assists with the campus’s administrative and logistical operations.
• Meets with prospective families to assess and determine a student’s academic ability and overall fit for program.
• Counsels current students and families as needed to provide student support.
• Responds to customer emails and phone calls.
• Helps design and implement campus community building activities.
• Build community partnerships and attend outreach events to increase awareness of AoPS in the community and plan engaging educational events at the campus.
• Additional duties as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications

• Interest in growing management experience; no prior management experience required.
• Computer Science experience (java) preferred.
• Contest math exposure or interest preferred.
