Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Graduation from a school of practical nursing or completion of one of the following: a Certified PCA/PCT Program, a Certified Nurse Assistant Program or equivalent training, a Medical Assistant Program, an EMT program, a phlebotomy training program
- At least 2 years of work experience as a patient care associate / tech (must be inpatient setting)
- With six (6) months direct patient care experience, preferred.
Responsibilities
- Perform technical, multi-skilled direct and indirect patient care activities
- Work under the supervision of a registered nurse
- Address patient care needs
- Transport patients, specimens, and/or supplies
- Report all deviations from expected patient parameters to the registered nurse.
Preferred Qualifications
- With six (6) months direct patient care experience, preferred.
