Requirements
- Enthusiastic about applying skills in the domain of cybersecurity
- Comfortable communicating (verbally and written)
- Proficient in at least one of these subjects: security operations, Splunk, data science/machine learning, public speaking, academic research, or system administration
- Capable of and have a desire to collaborate on projects with multiple global stakeholders
- Enjoy and are able to mentor others
- Able to take complex cybersecurity topics and distill them into clear, digestible insights for diverse audiences, ranging from junior analysts to senior executives
- Interested in delivering engaging and accessible presentations, webinars, and workshops on relevant topics
- Fluent in English
- Passionate about staying current on industry trends, emerging threats, and new technologies to continuously improve research and presentations
Responsibilities
- Explore a wide range of topics with the goal of making meaningful contributions to the cybersecurity community
- Address strategic problems facing organizations
- Identify novel research topics and develop insights into complex cybersecurity challenges
- Collaborate with diverse global teams
- Mentor others
- Submit a CFP for a major cybersecurity conference
- Draft a blog to share findings
- Provide expert commentary in an interview to a major media outlet
- Become a trusted advisor and partner to Splunk customers
- Drive positive change in the world of cybersecurity
