Requirements

  • Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility
  • U.S. Citizenship Required for the purposes of obtaining/holding a U.S. security clearance
  • Bachelor’s degree and 11-12 years of relevant experience. Additional experience/certifications will be considered in lieu of degree
  • Current Security+ CE or equivalent DoD 8140 IAT Level II / III certification (Advanced Cisco certifications, such as CCNP Collaboration or CCIE Collaboration)
  • Proven success in managing enterprise-grade Cisco UC systems at scale, preferably in a DoD environment
  • Expertise in CUCM (v11.5+), Cisco VTC codecs, VoIP endpoints, and Telepresence Management Server
  • Strong understanding of VoIP protocols (SIP, H.323, RTP) and Quality of Service (QoS) principles
  • Familiarity with integrating UC systems with third-party tools (e.g., Microsoft Teams)
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and troubleshooting abilities

Responsibilities

  • Take charge of the design, deployment, and optimization of mission-critical communication systems
  • Provide strategic guidance to the team, while driving system improvements across a global footprint
  • Lead the design, deployment, and management of Unified Communications systems, including Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CUCM), Cisco Unity, and Telepresence Management Server
  • Act as a senior escalation point, resolving complex UC issues such as voice and video challenges and call routing conflicts
  • Oversee the management of UC endpoints, including Cisco VoIP phones and video conferencing systems
  • Plan and execute large-scale system upgrades, migrations, and hardware refreshes
  • Develop and enforce UC security policies to ensure compliance with DoD standards
  • Mentor and guide junior team members, fostering skill development and technical excellence
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including network engineers, cybersecurity professionals, and third-party vendors, to ensure seamless UC operations
  • Maintain and update operational documentation, including system architecture diagrams and technical guides
  • Deliver regular performance and activity reports to senior leadership, identifying trends and recommending improvements
