Requirements
- Bachelors Degree in Engineering or related field with 5 or more years’ of related experience.
- Must have a DoD Secret security clearance or the ability to obtain a Secret security clearance.
- Experience in RF and Microwave Circuit and System Design.
- Proven ability to work in a flexible team environment and deliver timely, high-quality results.
- Must be proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
- U.S. Citizenship required.
Responsibilities
- Supports design and development of high-performance RF integrated radar simulators.
- Works on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors employed in open-air radar simulators.
- Designs power amplifier matching networks using non-linear models.
- Develops functional specifications for RF power amplifiers, integrated microwave assemblies, antennas, waveguides, and pedestals.
- Responsible for the detailed design and schematic capture of the electronic circuits.
- Ensures that PCB and/or MIC layout design meets design requirements.
- Develops, executes and reports on design verification tests and prototype tests.
- Provides support and guidance for the development of automated methods for sub-system testing.
- Responsible for the release of the engineering design package to the production configuration management system.
- Selects methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.
- Networks with senior internal and external personnel in own area of expertise.
- Part of a high-performance engineering team, working on complex multifunction RF assemblies predominantly for open-air radar simulators.
- Leverages emerging technologies in conjunction with proven concepts to evolve and modernize radar simulators including highly mobile, open and closed loop, man in the loop, remotely operated, open architecture, modular designs.
- Provides technical support for DOD Tactical Training Ranges in a broad capacity including problematic system repairs, system upgrades and modernization (to address obsolescence), and integration/installation support for various Range instrumentation systems.
