Requirements

Responsibilities
- Utilize inspection work instructions, checklists, and control plans to complete inspections and tests on ‘in-process’ vehicles and sub-assemblies
- Complete inspections, sorting and minor rework on purchased components when parts are required to support production requirements
- Utilize the MES system and other systems to record inspection and test findings
- Interface with production operators to understand any challenging assembly process that may require additional inspection
- Participate in plant start-up and daily review meetings and provide details on inspection and test findings
- Complete testing and drive evaluation on completed vehicles
- Create summary reports of inspection and test findings
- Participate in continuous improvement, root cause, 8D team meetings
- Utilize CMM to measure incoming parts and in process vehicles (training will be provided)
- Utilize torque monitoring equipment to verify DC torque tools
- Utilize hand tools (calipers, micrometers, go/no go gages, etc.) to verify components
- Inspect sheet metal surface quality
- Inspect paint quality
- Contain suspect vehicles and perform inspections and tests, as needed
- Other duties, as assigned
Preferred Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Previous automotive experience
- At least six months experience as an Inspection or Quality Technician
