Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required
  • SNT Level IIA certifications in Eddy Current Testing (ECT) or analyst equivalent is required
  • Remote Field Testing (RFT) and Near Field Testing (NFT) experience is required
  • Internal Rotary Inspection System (IRIS) experience is required
  • Additional NDT certifications are considered an asset
  • Must have comprehensive mechanical aptitude and familiarity with industrial equipment, tube configurations, and potential failure mechanisms
  • High level of accuracy and precision when performing inspections and data analysis
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to identify even minor defects during inspections
  • Proficiency in using data analysis software
  • Capable of interpreting complex inspection data/signals and generate accurate reports
  • Ability to troubleshoot equipment issues and identify potential causes of anomalies during inspections
  • Ability to identify root causes of defects and propose solutions
  • Valid Driver’s License and pre-access drug and alcohol testing required
  • Pre-employment background checks will be required
  • Ability and willingness to travel to various job sites/locations as needed is required

Responsibilities

  • Perform thorough inspection of tubes using advanced NDT techniques such as Eddy Current Testing (ECT), Remote Field Testing (RFT), Near Field Testing (NFT), and Internal Rotary Inspection System (IRIS) to detect internal and external flaws such as corrosion, pitting, cracking, wall thinning, and gauge variations
  • Operation and setup of specialized inspection equipment, including probes, scanners, and data acquisition systems according to industry standards
  • Ensure specialized NDT equipment is properly calibrated and maintained in accordance with established procedures
  • Identify and resolve issues related to equipment malfunction or signal interpretation
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety protocols and established inspection standards and procedures
  • Adhere to strict quality standards and established criteria for tube inspections
  • Maintain accurate documentation of inspection activities and results
  • Review and analyze inspection data results generated from specialized NDT equipment to identify and characterize anomalies
  • Accurately interpret data using specialized software to determine the size, severity and location of defects
  • Identify and report potential quality issues
  • Document inspection findings, including detailed descriptions of defects, their location, and severity; Create detailed inspection reports based on classifications in accordance with relevant standards
  • Communicate inspection results to relevant stakeholders including engineers, maintenance personnel, and quality control teams
  • Recommend appropriate corrective actions based on inspection findings, such as tube repair, replacement, or process adjustments
