Requirements

  • Experience in interfacing with both client managers and system users.
  • Currently hold an adjudicated Top Secret clearance and be SCI eligible.
  • BA/BS + 10 years experience, or AA/AS + 12 years experience.
  • Must have a strong background (10+ years) in the design and maintenance of local area networks (LANs) and wide area networks (WANs), as well as an excellent working knowledge of LAN/WAN protocols (e.g., Open Shortest Path First (OSPF), Border Gateway Protocol (BGP), Multiprotocol Labeling Switching (MPLS).
  • Current DoD 8140 Cybersecurity Certification (e.g. CompTIA Security+)
  • Professional-level certification in Network Technology (e.g. CCNP, JNCIP, etc.).

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement computer and information networks, such as local area networks (LAN), wide area networks (WAN), intranets, extranets, and other data communications networks.
  • Perform network modeling, analysis, and planning.
  • May also design network and computer security measures.
  • May research and recommend network and data communications hardware and software.
  • Perform Tier IV network support.
  • Assess business and applications requirements for the customer’s data and voice networks.
  • Plan, design, and upgrade network installation projects.
  • Establish and maintaining backup, version-control and malware defense systems.
  • Troubleshoot network architectures and recommend system fixes and enhancements.
  • Make recommendations for leveraging network installations and reducing operational costs.
  • Communicate clearly and succinctly both written and orally, and present products and ideas in a business-like manner.
  • Work in dynamic fast paced environments that require team interaction and coordination of efforts.

Preferred Qualifications

  • CCIE/JNCIE Certified
  • Knowledge of and experience with USSTRATCOM
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Adaptable to changing circumstances and operational needs.
  • Understanding of Department of Defense Military standards.
