Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or combination of education and/or experience may substitute for minimum education.
  • Basic Life Support certification (Online BLS certifications, those without a skills assessment component, are not sufficient to meet the BLS requirements).
  • No specific work experience is required for this position.

Responsibilities

  • Retrieve tissue blocks and histology slides for projects, and keep track of the materials.
  • Return the materials when studies are completed.
  • Identify research cases from institutional databases based on inclusion and exclusion criteria to identify cases eligible for research projects.
  • Collect, organize, and maintain research data.
  • Establish record-keeping systems.
  • Pull data from pathology reports and electronic medical records.
  • Ensure data privacy, integrity and accuracy.
  • Maintain a database of active research projects in the division.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
