Requirements
- U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident for access to USG Facilities.
- B.S. in Aerospace or Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related disciplines with experience in software development, including overall project design, programming, testing, verification, and documentation.
- Strong computer and software development skills using C/C++ and Python.
- Experience with software version control tools such as git.
- Experience in Linux and Windows environments.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities with minimal supervision.
- Highly responsible, team-oriented individual with strong work ethic.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop math models for spacecraft systems and subsystems including hardware and software.
- Develop simulation scenarios to certify spacecraft ascent abort systems. Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines to ensure the reliability of the CI/CD processes.
- Perform analysis on simulation data to investigate spacecraft system performance.
- Present analysis results and their impact on spacecraft performance, vehicle design and mission design to customers.
Preferred Qualifications
- M.S. Aerospace or Computer Engineering, Computer Science or Modeling and Simulation and relevant work experience in aerospace software development projects.
- Experience with software simulation programming and scenario development, e.g., CACI/NASA Trick simulation is a plus.
- Experience with spacecraft simulation development using NASA JEOD. Experience with 6-DOF modeling of complex dynamic systems.
- Experience using SLURM to execute batch job submissions.
- Familiarity with atmospheric modeling, e.g. GRAM.
- Experience with MATLAB/Simulink, particularly with auto code generation.
