Requirements
- At least a master’s degree in English, Rhetoric and Composition, or related field
- For the rank of Instructor: a master’s degree
- For the rank of Assistant Teaching Professor: a terminal/doctorate degree
- Experience teaching first-year writing
- Strategies for mitigating AI in the composition classroom
Responsibilities
- Teaching 12 credits per semester (four courses) of composition classes
- Advising students
- Engaging in scholarship and professional growth
- Providing service to the College, community, and the profession
- Assisting with the ongoing growth and development of the program
- Participating in student recruitment and retention activities
- Program assessment
