Requirements

  • Strong customer focus and communication skills with ability to translate complex business processes into technical solutions.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, mathematics, computer science, or related field AND 5+ years experience in software development, data modeling or data engineering work OR Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Math, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field AND 3+ year(s) experience in software development, or data engineering work OR equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years technical engineering experience building data processing applications (batch and streaming) with coding in languages including, but not limited to, Python, Java, Scala, SQL.
  • Experience working with Kafka, Spark, Lakehouse architectures and distributed technologies.
  • 3+ years’ experience building scalable services on top of public cloud infrastructure like Azure, AWS, or GCP. Extensive use datastores like RDBMS, key-value stores, etc.

Responsibilities

  • Develop models and data pipeline to ingest, manage, store, and provision data for our domain data products.
  • Write high-quality, well-tested, secure, and maintainable code to ensure the performance and reliability of data extraction and processing.
  • Work collaboratively with other platform architects, infrastructure and application engineers as well as business subject matter experts to build next generation data platform products and services.
  • Build expertise and ownership of data quality for supported domains.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge or experience in the Transportation and Logistics industries.
  • Experience with Microsoft Fabric tools and infrastructure.
  • Ability to clearly communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Passion for learning new technologies and staying up to date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies.
