Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Data Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
- 8+ years of experience in data architecture, data engineering, or a related domain preferably within the financial services industry.
- Strong expertise in SQL, Python, and Java for data processing and analytics.
- Deep knowledge of data modeling (relational and NoSQL), data warehousing, and data lake architectures.
- Experience with distributed computing frameworks and workflow orchestration tools.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines for data engineering workflows.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate complex business needs into data solutions.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence senior leadership.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, highly regulated environment.
Responsibilities
- Assess and refine existing data architectures to enhance performance, security, and scalability.
- Modernize legacy database structures by implementing best practices for data modeling, integration, and management.
- Improve and enforce data governance, metadata management, and data lineage frameworks to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Enhance business intelligence capabilities by refining data delivery for reporting, dashboarding, and data visualization solutions.
- Optimize and enhance existing ETL/ELT pipelines for improved efficiency and performance.
- Streamline and enhance data warehousing solutions using technologies.
- Improve real-time data processing and streaming solutions using industry leading technologies.
- Enhance API-driven data access layers to facilitate more seamless integration between applications and data platforms.
- Support the enhancement of automated reporting solutions and interactive dashboards to provide deeper business insights.
- Work closely with business and technology stakeholders, including the Infrastructure Planning organization, to understand data requirements and translate them into scalable solutions.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior data engineers and analysts.
- Partner with cybersecurity, compliance, and risk teams to ensure data security and regulatory compliance across the Infrastructure Planning Organization’s data platforms.
