Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field preferred.
- Prior experience in retail sales, consignment sales, or a similar role within the marine industry is highly desirable.
- Experience with inventory management systems and online sales platforms is a plus.
- Strong sales and customer service skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Familiarity with marine boats, trailers, products, equipment and terminology.
- Ability to negotiate and close sales effectively.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Enthusiastic and self-motivated.

Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients interested in consigning their boats, trailers, and associated and interrelated marine equipment for sale.
- Clearly explain the consignment sale process, including pricing, terms, and expectations, in a retail sales context.
- Actively promote, make, and obtain orders and/or contracts for the sale of consigned boats, trailers, and equipment contracts through in-store displays, online listings, and customer outreach.
- Work within the sales team to drive sales of consigned marine boats, trailers and equipment and ensure they are effectively marketed for sale to potential buyers.
- Evaluate and document orders and/or contracts for consignment of marine boats, trailers, and equipment sales, ensuring accurate descriptions, condition reports, and pricing.
- Maintain an organized and up-to-date consignment sales inventory within the retail environment.
- Assist with negotiations and facilitate the sales process for obtaining orders and contracts for the sale of consigned marine boats, trailers, and equipment.
- Ensure that all sales transactions are completed in compliance with dealership policies and applicable regulations.
- Provide exceptional customer service to both sellers and buyers, addressing inquiries and resolving any issues promptly.
- Ensure that customers have a positive experience throughout the consignment sales process.
- Oversee and address tasks related to consignment sales while ensuring the maintenance of accurate records of all consigned orders, contracts, and sales.
- Ensure all documentation is compliant with retail sale standards.
- Work closely with other sales and service team members to ensure a cohesive approach to obtaining orders and contracts for the sale of consigned marine boats, trailers, and equipment.
- Support the overall sales goals of the dealership by contributing to a team-oriented sales environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field preferred.
