Requirements

  • 3 – 6 years experience in a Post Production environment as an active producer
  • Self-driven and take ownership of your work, enthusiastic and embrace change
  • Expert knowledge of post-production processes, tools, tech and project management software along with an understanding of video production
  • Familiar with the use of project management and scheduling software, workflows, asset management and accounting instruments
  • Excellent time management skills, organized and detail oriented & multi-tasking abilities
  • Strong understanding of current industry software, awareness of new trends, working methods & technology advances

Responsibilities

  • Knowledge of the various roles, functions, capabilities, equipment, and applications within the Post Production Department; understanding production, post production, audio, digital and emerging tech work flows
  • Oversee the full life cycle of assignments, including: media production, short- and long-form content, animation, graphics, field and studio shoots, OLV, broadcast, social/digital content and ai
  • Estimating, scheduling, maintaining timelines, delivery, and wrap-up.
  • Ensure production workflows are defined and adhered to, at the highest production standards which may include: briefings with clients and agency partners, understanding proposed budgets, negotiating, sourcing lead operators, booking suite time, attending kick-off meetings, scheduling client reviews, distributing feedback, tracking costs and managing project progress, completion reports and production wrap
  • Partner with producers and creatives to define project scopes, and adhere to all deadlines and budgets
  • Identify and anticipates issues, recommend solutions and establish resourceful conclusions
  • Helping department heads with necessary licensing, forms, pre- and post-production documents and budget reconciliations
  • Ensure the highest creative and production quality while staying current with industry trends, new technologies, and evolving distribution platforms, guarantees that assigned projects are produced to a high creative standard and delivered on time and within the agreed-upon budget
  • Verify that all work is reconciled correctly and comes in within the agreed budget; understands addendum/ overage processes in conjunction with department managers
  • Work closely with the digital assets coordinator to confirm proper development and search procedures for archival, existing, new footage, stock, library assets, fonts, etc., and help provide accuracy and streamlining of search functions – responsible for ensuring that all material needed for assigned jobs has been requested and is on the system in the correct place
  • Manage and adjust production strategies as needed, proactively identifying issues and providing strategic solutions.
  • Identify, cultivate, and maintain strong relationships with external creative partners, artists, vendors, and contract talent, leveraging strong negotiation skills.
