Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years relevant work experience
  • NJDEP N-2 Industrial Wastewater Treatment System License
  • Strong analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Experience with Root Cause Analysis, Lean Six Sigma, Failure Mode Effects Analysis, or reliability engineering
  • Excellent Communication & Interpersonal Skills: ability to effectively communicate with stakeholders at various levels, including cross-functional teams, senior management and external vendors. Strong negotiation, influencing, and relationship-building skills to ensure alignment and collaboration.
  • Detail Oriented & Organized: strong attention to detail in managing complex activities; ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and meet aggressive deadlines.
  • Continuous Improvement Mindset: Proactive approach to identify process inefficiencies, develop solutions, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • The WSE will be the Subject Matter Expert for all wastewater equipment and processes.
  • Ensure compliance to municipal, state, and federal wastewater requirements.
  • Handle various projects related to wastewater, water, utility, and energy.
  • Address system nonconformances and address system deficiencies in a proactive manner.
  • Work cross-functionally to coordinating with different departments and external partners.
  • Establish systems and processes to measure and drive performance and improvement.
  • Work with maintenance teams on preventative and corrective tasks.
  • Investigate complex problems and developing innovative solutions.
  • Develop and implementing initiatives to support the corporate sustainability vision.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with PI Process Book application.
  • Technical understanding of industrial site power, utilities, boilers, piping design, control systems, and compressed air, steam, and condensate systems.
  • Professional Engineering License or PMP.
