Software Engineer III – Python – Sql

Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 3+ years applied experience
Strong Python development skills and track record of successful delivery of large-scale projects
Good grasp of modern Python 3+ features and best practices
Ability to quickly understand existing Python and SQL code bases and turn around fixes and enhancements
Experience using relational database systems such as Sybase, MS SQL Server or Oracle
Proficiency in writing complex SQL queries
Ability to troubleshoot non-performant SQL and identify opportunities for performance improvements
Some familiarity with Linux command line
Experience in developing, debugging, and maintaining code in large-scale enterprise level applications
Strong understanding of Data Structures, algorithms and its uses
Experience with the Pandas ecosystem
Collaborate with stakeholders in cross-projects and team settings to identify and clarify business or product questions to answer

Executes software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problems
Creates secure and high-quality production code and maintains algorithms that run synchronously with appropriate systems
Produces architecture and design artifacts for complex applications while being accountable for ensuring design constraints are met by software code development
Gathers, analyzes, synthesizes, and develops visualizations and reporting from large, diverse data sets in service of continuous improvement of software applications and systems
Proactively identifies hidden problems and patterns in data and uses these insights to drive improvements to coding hygiene and system architecture
Creates and maintains high-quality documentation related to systems internals and troubleshooting procedures.
