Requirements
- 2–3 years in technology sales or business development
- Demonstrated success in meeting or exceeding sales goals
- Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to influence and build rapport
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
Responsibilities
- Partner with Senior Account Executives to align account strategies with customer needs and business objectives
- Identify and qualify prospects through a mix of inbound lead follow-up and targeted outbound outreach
- Support sales operations and administrative tasks to ensure smooth execution of strategies
- Maintain accurate records in Salesforce (SFDC) to enable tracking and insights
- Engage prospects via email, phone, social media, and Salesloft; automate and track outreach efforts to maximize productivity
- Learn and articulate Hitachi’s portfolio (storage, cloud, IoT, and data management) to address federal client needs
- Build a qualified sales pipeline through consistent follow-up and prospecting
- Meet or exceed key sales KPIs—calls, meetings booked, decision-maker contacts, and opportunities generated
- Deliver compelling product and company presentations to both internal and external stakeholders
- Collaborate with marketing, sales, and finance to drive company-wide initiatives
- Attend customer meetings and federal industry events, up to 25% travel required
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with U.S. Federal, State, or Local government clients
- Familiarity with Salesforce or similar CRM tools
- Experience with Salesloft or similar engagement platforms
- Eagerness to learn and articulate emerging technologies
- Interest in growing into advanced roles within Hitachi Vantara Federal
