Requirements
- A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (preferred emphasis on power system or sustainable energy)
- Mid-Level: B.S. or M.S. degree in electrical engineering with (4+ years) of relevant experience
- Senior Level: B.S. or M.S. degree in electrical engineering with (7+ years) of relevant experience
- Strong engineering and interpersonal skills
- High attention to detail
- Passion for quality
Responsibilities
- Solving and implementing Protection engineering philosophies and applications
- Working with design engineers and performing quality reviews
- Providing input on relay implementations and applications such as fuse sizing and CT/PT selection
- Working directly with clients as well as working with other staff in remote office locations
- Assignments will cover the full range of project scoping through design, relay settings and construction support
- Perform protection and automation scheme testing using Real Time Digital Simulator (RTDS)
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with One and Three-line diagram
- Control and protection schemes including the preparation of schematics and wiring diagram
- Experience using ASPEN One-Liner is a plus
- Previous Quality Assurance/Quality Control experience is a plus
- Ability to meet deadlines under pressure situations
- Team player who can work effectively in team environment
- Self-starter who works independently with minimal direction
- Strong written and verbal communication skills required when interfacing with clients and staff
- High level of computer competency
- Periodic travel may be required for project kickoff meetings in the substation
- Ability to communicate effectively with teams and/or Leidos clients
