Requirements

  • A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (preferred emphasis on power system or sustainable energy)
  • Mid-Level: B.S. or M.S. degree in electrical engineering with (4+ years) of relevant experience
  • Senior Level: B.S. or M.S. degree in electrical engineering with (7+ years) of relevant experience
  • Strong engineering and interpersonal skills
  • High attention to detail
  • Passion for quality

Responsibilities

  • Solving and implementing Protection engineering philosophies and applications
  • Working with design engineers and performing quality reviews
  • Providing input on relay implementations and applications such as fuse sizing and CT/PT selection
  • Working directly with clients as well as working with other staff in remote office locations
  • Assignments will cover the full range of project scoping through design, relay settings and construction support
  • Perform protection and automation scheme testing using Real Time Digital Simulator (RTDS)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with One and Three-line diagram
  • Control and protection schemes including the preparation of schematics and wiring diagram
  • Experience using ASPEN One-Liner is a plus
  • Previous Quality Assurance/Quality Control experience is a plus
  • Ability to meet deadlines under pressure situations
  • Team player who can work effectively in team environment
  • Self-starter who works independently with minimal direction
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills required when interfacing with clients and staff
  • High level of computer competency
  • Periodic travel may be required for project kickoff meetings in the substation
  • Ability to communicate effectively with teams and/or Leidos clients
