Requirements
- Strong object-oriented software design and implementation (any language)
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- 2+ years towards a degree in Computer/Electrical Engineering, Engineering Physics, Computer Science or equivalent
Responsibilities
- Contributing to the ongoing development of automated solutions for our next generation optical switches, amplifiers and circuit packs
- Collecting and analyzing manufacturing data to improve product performance and quality
- Solving complex technical problems
- Working in close collaboration with the Optical, Hardware, Software, and Firmware R&D teams
- Analyzing and characterizing device failures
- Improving the quality and robustness of our products
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Visual Studio 2013+ (VB.NET or C#), XML, Python, Perl and/or TCL shell scripts
- Experience in instrumentation and automation
- Understanding of optical systems
- Experience with optical instruments and optical fibers
