Requirements
- Must be able to work well in a team environment as part of an 8+ hour shift schedule.
- Call-ins as needed.
- High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience as an electrician/controls/PLC experience.
- In-depth knowledge of electrical systems, hand tools, and industrial equipment.
- Good communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail with good applied mathematical skills.
- Willing to perform physically demanding tasks, such as lifting heavy objects, climbing ladders, crawling, etc.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoots and diagnoses equipment and systems for emergency repairs.
- Works from schematics, drawings, layouts or other specifications to install and test electrical systems or equipment.
- Perform Preventive Maintenance Systems tests and inspections, documenting results.
- Review and interpret engineering specifications, schematics, and blueprints to determine work procedures.
- Uses test instruments to determine faults and replaces components.
- Work with a range of hand tools including electrical test equipment.
- Determine which machines, techniques, and tools to use when moving equipment and completing jobs.
- Assists specialists and engineers in making more complex repairs.
- Comply with all plant safety directives.
