Responsibilities
- Providing leadership and direction to a multidisciplinary engineering team, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and project breakthroughs.
- Overseeing the design and development of components, fixtures, and metrology systems to advance innovative intraocular lens technologies.
- Leading the development and implementation of automated manufacturing processes to optimize production efficiency and quality.
- Collaborating with multi-functional teams, including mechanical, optics, manufacturing, and materials scientists, to ensure project success and technical excellence.
- Leading root cause analysis and fixing efforts to address emerging manufacturing or design defects.
- Developing and overseeing the execution of test protocols, technical reports, and documentation for internal and external stakeholders.
- Establishing and maintaining relationships with suppliers and contract manufacturers, ensuring scalability and quality of manufacturing processes.
- Driving a culture of continuous improvement by leveraging Lean Six Sigma principles and Design for Manufacturability (DFM) best practices.
