Requirements
- Licensed physician with Board Certification in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology
- Subspecialty Board Certification in Hematopathology
- Active / eligibility to attain medical license in the following states: NC, FL and IL (Additional state medical licenses might be required due to practice necessity)
- Experience with bone marrow, blood, and lymph node morphology and interpreting multicolor flow cytometry test
- Working knowledge of cytogenetics and molecular genetics
- Strong customer focus and understanding of laboratory operations
- Minimum 3 years working experience in hematopathology
Responsibilities
- Professional interpretation of hematopathology specimens: bone marrow and lymph node biopsies, peripheral blood smears and flow cytometry.
- Assure compliance with quality, regulatory, and safety guidelines/standards
- Oversight and assurance of accurate and timely evaluation of specimens tested
- Assures good laboratory practice (GLP) and compliance with applicable accrediting and regulatory agencies
- Provide expert consultation as needed with clients and staff, in person, by phone or electronically
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a hospital / large referral laboratory experience preferred
