Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree or approved equivalent combination of education and experience
- Work-related experience in commercial financial analysis or a lending background
- Preferred two to three years’ experience in financial and/or credit analysis or related areas
- Experience, knowledge and training in financial statement and tax return analysis
- Strong knowledge of commercial, construction and real estate credit analysis
- Ability to analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals and technical procedures
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from diverse groups
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
- Strong typing skills
- Strong math skills
- Effective verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to deal with normal problems involving multiple facets and variables in non-standardized situations
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
Responsibilities
- Provide due diligence and analytical support to Relationship Officers and Managers
- Gather and analyze credit information on current and potential borrowers
- Determine the advisability of granting credit for diversified types of loans
- Assist in writing loan requests and promoting business for the Bank
- Perform pre-qualification assessment and analysis of financial condition and risk
- Gather data from clients and prepare spreadsheets and financial analyses
- Compile data from credit bureaus and conduct industry peer comparisons
- Inform management when up-to-date financial statements are needed
- Ensure credit inquiries and UCC filings are researched
- Document and maintain portfolio management responsibilities
- Assist in the review, initial approval and renewal of credit facilities
- Develop knowledge of relevant industries and economic conditions
- Represent the Bank in community functions
- Reinforce superior client service and uphold organizational values
- Complete administrative tasks correctly and on time
