Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Management) and 5 years of combined experience in design or product definition; or An Advanced Degree in a related field and 3 years of combined experience in design or product definition.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen. This position may require access to systems/tools that are restricted to individuals who possess US citizenship.
- The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government-issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Responsibilities
- Lead tasks, assign work, drive deliverables to meet schedule, and provide mentorship.
- Work with engine program leads on schedule/status.
- Define and review assembly drawings based on layouts, sketches, and Model-Based Definition (MBD) files; Perform general product definition tasks, including models to meet manufacturing and inspection of hardware. Perform and/or oversee all aspects of PD engineering standard work throughout Preliminary Design, Detail Design, and Verification/Validation.
- Ensure accuracy and adherence to Product Definition Standard Processes of Design Intent. Review of models and GD&T to ensure it meets Design intent. Generation of MBD technical data package, including inspection criteria aligned in 3D model to meet MBD criteria.
- Travel up 5%.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience leading a team/ team leading/team building.
- Demonstrated commitment to a quality and continuous improvement culture.
- 3D Solid Modeling experience.
- Knowledge of Geometric Tolerancing or Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing professional certification, GDTP Y14.5.
- General knowledge of Manufacturing Processes.
