Requirements
- 4 year BA/BS college degree (preferred)
- Previous beverage sales management experience
- Strong working product knowledge of wine is a must
- Completion of WSET Level 2 or CSW is preferred
- Strong interpersonal skills with focus on communication and problem resolution
- Strong ability to multi-task efficiently within given time parameters
- Excellent planning/organizational skills necessary to achieve business goals
- Customer service and results oriented
- Computer proficient: MS Office
- Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
- Reliable transportation and proof of insurance
Responsibilities
- Works directly with sales consultants and managers to establish and grow the Luxury Wine portfolio primarily in the On Premise universe.
- Perform regular wine education and trainings with Johnson Brothers commercial team
- Aggressively pursues and delivers on monthly sales goals and initiatives for Luxury wine in the On Premise channel.
- Delivers incremental quarterly sales goals and develops new Luxury wine list and BTG menu placements based on set quarterly goal in assigned influential accounts.
- Drive sales of Luxury portfolio and drives a high level of account advocacy for those brands within preassigned account list.
- Builds strong- long-term value-added relationships with assigned accounts.
- Owns relationship & visibility with buyers.
- Exceeds buyer expectations and continually differentiates from the competition.
- Acts as a valued partner and consultant to the customer.
- Communicates a high- level of enthusiasm and knowledge to inspire and place trust with buyers.
- Fully understands the story and Luxury component/traits of each brand.
- Has the ability to communicate these stories in a public speaking format in a clear and concise manner to buyers and consumers.
- Makes regular calls on assigned accounts to provide a high-level relationship between the account and the portfolio.
- Continually evaluates entire beverage program to include wine list, bar program, drink list.
- Provides high level, professional staff training on a regular basis to drive staff awareness on existing and new PODS.
- Responsible for Luxury supplier work withs, set supplier appointments, events, dinners.
- Accomplishes consumer event activation goals on a quarterly basis.
- Provides creative event ideas to drive new PODS, incremental revenue for JBL and the account.
- Understands the concept of selling the right product in the right account.
- Moves seamlessly during a customer call from presenting to asking for the order and establish staff training to seat the brands in the account.
- Maintains intellectual awareness of global and local sales trends.
- Continually identifies new and emerging Luxury account opportunities and communicates timely to sales organization.
- Fully understands Luxury pricing structure of wine and sells Luxury not price.
- Achieve yearly sales plans for our Luxury suppliers.
- Develop, coach and train sales team to achieve sales goals, placement objectives and to ensure company standards are met.
- Evaluate progress and work with sales consultants to determine growth potential.
- Manages sales performance by measuring and reporting results, evaluating and correcting performance and administering policies and procedures.
- Conduct key account calls by helping to prepare and present programs.
- Assist in the development of sales forecasts and scheduling of product.
- Plan for activities by forecasting conditions, market analysis, market trends, defining objectives and strategies.
- Follow-up and comply with requests from upper management.
- Report weekly/monthly/quarterly to management team to be sure sales targets are met.
