Requirements

Responsibilities
- Underwrite large, highly technical risks within a diverse set of industries across a variety of products including Primary, Umbrella and Excess in accordance with Arch Insurance business standards and sound underwriting practices.
- Manage a book of business to achieve organization goals via the effective utilization of assigned resources in the interpretation, implementation and achievement of these business goals.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with assigned brokers, agents, policyholders and industry groups.
- Participate in marketplace initiatives to expand the overall Arch brand and the specific Business Unit reputation through interface with regional customers, brokers and other industry professionals.
- Complete special projects as assigned by the RVP
- Work independently as a member of a team while building a profitable book of business.
- Develop strong relationships with brokers in order to successfully manage our business which will require travel to producer location.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelors’ Degree with exposure to Economics, Mathematics, Business Administration or Finance preferred
- Minimum of 5 years of P&C production underwriting experience
