Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering Technology or related field
  • Experience managing mechanical projects
  • Ability to understand and assess complex Engineering issues
  • Proficient in Solidworks or other 3D CAD software
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, MS Office suite
  • Ability to multi-task, supporting several projects with various priority levels
  • Strong organization skills – managing Information from multiple locations and sources
  • Ability to work both independently and within teams.

Responsibilities

  • Develop engineering solutions that result in Continuous Improvement in the areas of Safety, Uptime, and Quality.
  • Use data to identify process conditions and develop solutions
  • Work with Maintenance Team on emergency repairs, implementing corrective actions, and developing procedures/training materials.
  • Assign and follow up on planned and unplanned repairs.
  • Communicate and coordinate information to and from internal and external customers.
  • Setup spare parts and order material as needed.
  • Develop specification for upgraded and new equipment.
  • Update / create procedural documents and tooling drawing related to process improvements.
  • Collaborate cross functionally to develop creative solutions.
  • Remain flexible and at times work extended and non-core hours to ensure issues are worked to resolution.
  • Support Corporate and Local Global Manufacturing Systems (GMS) Goals related to Safety, People, Quality, Responsiveness, Cost, and Environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proficiency in Solidworks.
  • Successful internships in related industries.
  • Examples of successful engineering projects.
  • Working knowledge of PLC’s and machine controls.
  • Experience with Fanuc or other robotic platforms.
