Claims Analyst

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field preferred
Prior experience handling customer accounts such as AR, Claims, Deductions, and/or DSO preferred
SAP experience preferred
Understanding of cash application processes preferred
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office – Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.
Ability to work with limited supervision and effectively manage a task list
Can perform the functions of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation

Comprehensive analysis, find trends/develop conclusions on deductions, claims, and AR data
Run and develop weekly reports
Research payments submitted including pricing, marketing money, product claims, etc.
Work with customers to rebill and collect any unauthorized deduction balance
Keep detailed records and accounts of all claims, deductions and DSO
Acquire required documentation needed to determine liability quickly
Ability to learn the process, know the process, and make decisions to mitigate losses quickly
Demonstrate strong customer service with ability to make decisions to mitigate losses quickly
Communicate with a sense of urgency to customers, carriers, and plants via phone and email
Investigate root cause of claims (transportation, plant, sales, customer error etc.)
Acquire required documentation needed to determine liability quickly
Review documentation and determine if the parties involved have provided the required information to process a claim
Gather data and relay it to sales teams to solve problems for customer accounts
Enter claims in SAP to be processed
Process all claims, deductions and customer DSO in designated time frames
Participate in rotating weekend & on-call coverage
Other duties as assigned
