Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field preferred
- Prior experience handling customer accounts such as AR, Claims, Deductions, and/or DSO preferred
- SAP experience preferred
- Understanding of cash application processes preferred
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office – Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.
- Ability to work with limited supervision and effectively manage a task list
- Can perform the functions of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation
Responsibilities
- Comprehensive analysis, find trends/develop conclusions on deductions, claims, and AR data
- Run and develop weekly reports
- Research payments submitted including pricing, marketing money, product claims, etc.
- Work with customers to rebill and collect any unauthorized deduction balance
- Keep detailed records and accounts of all claims, deductions and DSO
- Acquire required documentation needed to determine liability quickly
- Ability to learn the process, know the process, and make decisions to mitigate losses quickly
- Demonstrate strong customer service with ability to make decisions to mitigate losses quickly
- Communicate with a sense of urgency to customers, carriers, and plants via phone and email
- Investigate root cause of claims (transportation, plant, sales, customer error etc.)
- Acquire required documentation needed to determine liability quickly
- Review documentation and determine if the parties involved have provided the required information to process a claim
- Gather data and relay it to sales teams to solve problems for customer accounts
- Enter claims in SAP to be processed
- Process all claims, deductions and customer DSO in designated time frames
- Participate in rotating weekend & on-call coverage
- Other duties as assigned
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field preferred
- Prior experience handling customer accounts such as AR, Claims, Deductions, and/or DSO preferred
