Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree from four-year college or university; Or four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Facilities – Related 5 years which includes 1 year leadership which includes 3 years of hospital specific Central Energy Plant experience
- Boiler Operator License – Arkansas Department of Labor Boiler Operator’s License Division
Responsibilities
- Inspects boiler room equipment to ensure proper maintenance. Reviews reports for alarms and corrective action. Administers preventative maintenance on boiler room systems and equipment.
- Assigns maintenance work orders and clean up, daily.
- May recruit and maintain a productive, effective, diversified, respectful and knowledgeable work force through an effective recruitment, interview, selection, and orientation process. Prepares and administers annual employee evaluations.
- Submits recommendations for repairs/replacements, in accordance with budget planning.
- Serves as a liaison with contractors and tradesmen on jobsite to assure all stages of work are completed within schedule.
- Maintains license and inspections of hospital equipment.
- Ensures that all Stationary Engineers obtain a yearly high pressure boiler operator licenses.
- Coordinates inspections and licenses are conducted and maintained.
- May ensure quality merchandise is purchased at competitive prices with approval.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Preferred Qualifications
- Industrial Maintenance Electrician (License) – Arkansas Board of Electrical Examiners
- Medical Gas Certification – Medical Gas Certifications, Inc.
- Universal Technician Certification – Environmental Protection Agency (EPA)
