Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree and 8+ years of sales, business development, product development or related work experience.
  • OR Associate’s degree and 10+ years of sales, business development, product development or related work experience.
  • OR High school Diploma or equivalent and 12+ years of sales, business development, product development or related work experience.

Responsibilities

  • Support the sell-in activities for the next generation of Surface and Xbox products built on Snapdragon solutions.
  • Identify and promote strategic business opportunities for Qualcomm in these areas.
  • Work with internal and external stakeholders including legal, finance, business units, marketing and field teams to help define the next generation Surface and Xbox portfolios.
  • Manage global demand profile for assigned product portfolios including demand planning, long lead forecasting, and channel inventory.
  • Leverage internal data sources in conjunction with industry data sources like IDC to develop accurate long lead forecasts.
  • Identifying and working closely with top business groups and their teams to establish Qualcomm as a sustained leader in the market.
  • Comprehensive understanding of Qualcomm’s portfolio and technology and assist driving long-term strategic portfolio decisions.
  • Working closely with internal executives, cross-functional teams and key stakeholders to facilitate and gain support for short-term execution and long-term portfolio and sales plans based on achievement of business and financial goals and milestones.
  • Track KPIs across various marketing and promotional programs to drive incrementally more successful Qualcomm-based programs.
  • Maintaining sales pipeline, provide monthly forecasts and support internal operational / financial planning processes.
  • Be responsible for developing the strategic business and sales plan to monetize Qualcomm’s comprehensive portfolio across Microsoft.
  • Evangelize Qualcomm’s solutions to this customer through viable business strategies and commercialization plans.
  • Identify strategic business opportunities for Qualcomm and collaborate with the account team to drive to closure.
  • Drive support activities for Surface, at both the HQ and Regions, and ensure successful sell-in and sell-out.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree in Engineering and at least 8 years in the compute/PC or other high-tech product companies.
  • Master’s, Business Administration and/or Computer Engineering and/or Computer Science and/or Electrical Engineering.
  • Preferred: Master’s, Business Administration in multidisciplinary marketing or similar.
  • 8+ years of experience in developing successful sell-in and delivery strategies at large scale companies.
  • Existing sales or technical relationships with the Microsoft Surface team.
  • Experience working in a multinational, multicultural environment working across different time zones and cultures.
  • Experience in negotiating contracts and closing deals.
  • Experience working with internal and external senior leadership teams.
  • Experience working with diverse stakeholders including finance, legal, business units, and sales teams.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Direct experience working with Microsoft’s Surface PC teams is a plus.
  • Experience in business development and / or strategic sales of technology products specifically to Microsoft.
  • Technical expertise in Laptops/PCs, tablets and/or gaming hardware.
  • Strategic Key Account Management Expertise, ability to build and nurture working level and to mid-level customer relationships & influence.
  • Business and financial expertise to build long term business cases with clear ROI.
  • Self-starter, must be resourceful and able to effectively operate in a complex, fast-paced environment.
  • Leadership: The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, initiative oriented, recognized as a successful role-model who has demonstrated abilities to lead by influence.
  • Collaboration and Influencing: The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to influence and work closely with a variety of constituencies, both internal and external, intra and inter BU, customers, partners, as well as the ability to develop and nurture strong organizational relationships based on mutual trust.
  • He/she will be a clear, open, and effective communicator across all levels of the organization with the ability to effectively interface with the most senior levels of management internally and externally, as well as influence and educate key internal leaders on trends.
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally.
