Inventory Control Specialist

Reading and writing skills usually associated with the completion of a high school education.
Ability to perform simple mathematical calculations.
Ability to read, comprehend and follow all inventory procedures.
Accuracy and attention to detail is a must.
Receive and comprehend hazardous chemical training.
Ability and desire to be cross-trained on all jobs required in inventory control.
Strong decision-making skills regarding inventory adjustments or shipment priorities.
Ability to work in a non-stop, fast-paced, multiple task environment with some exposure to the elements.
Experience shipping via Federal Express and various other carriers.
Computer experience in Windows environment.
Knowledge of proper material handling techniques.

Coordinate material requisitions (MT’s and job pick lists) and the issuing of materials.
Understand and be able to interpret the requisition to satisfy the customers’ requirements.
Pick material and identify shortages affecting production schedules.
Daily identification and reconciliation of inventory variances that will help eliminate expediting cost and manufacturing down time.
Perform duties associated with receiving material on the Orthofix inbound dock.
Recognize the various types of material receipts at the dock, sort by type and deliver to the appropriate location in a timely manner.
Material handling involving safety and proper lifting techniques.
Perform duties associated with shipping material from the Orthofix outbound dock.
Utilize skills and knowledge of shipping via various carriers.
Regular attendance required.
