Requirements
- 3+ years’ experience working with Digital Volt Meters (DVM), Oscilloscopes, AC/DC Power supplies, Frequency Generators, and/or Power Meters
- 3+ years’ experience interpreting and reading electrical blueprints
- 3+ years’ experience in electronics or electrical troubleshooting
- 3+ years’ experience with soldering
- 3+ years’ experience with electrical/electronic troubleshooting, routing, splicing, connectors, bundle dressing, etc
- 3+ years’ experience as a mechanic working with structural, mechanical, electrical, or other systems
Responsibilities
- Disassembles systems components to support the correction of failures or implement changes
- Performs routine troubleshooting of electrical systems to isolate mechanical or electrical faults and repair faulty components
- Performs validation/verification testing of systems and components
- Inspects component before installation or usage to verify cleanliness and serviceability of components
- Fabricates and modifies aerospace products according to specifications
- Performs tasks associated with the safe handling of an aerospace vehicle (e.g. jacking, towing, system operations)
- Works under general supervision
Preferred Qualifications
- Associates degree in electronics, science or in a general technical field
- Experience performing bench testing of Avionic and Electrical commercial/space aircraft components
- Experience constructing wire harnesses and panels by cutting, sorting, color-coding, measuring, stripping, crimping, soldering, and routing various lengths, types, and gauges of wire, heat-shrink, and other related materials
- Familiar in the use of Electronic Work Order / Planning systems
