Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent STEM.
- Minimum of 3 years of professional work experience in Engineering or Manufacturing, 2 years of which must be in Quality Engineering in manufacturing.
- Proficiency with statistical, spreadsheet, and database software packages.
Responsibilities
- Be a key stakeholder on program teams in meeting contractual requirements and driving crucial quality related decisions for our customers.
- Represent Moog to support Customer & Government (DCMA) inspections, customer audits and requirements.
- Improve production by conducting QE studies, recommending design changes, and providing quality support to manufacturing personnel.
- Activities will include failure analysis, root cause and corrective action analysis, risk mitigation, material review, customer & governmental interface, audit support configuration control, and traceability.
- Review and prepare End Item Data packs to provide to customer during either source inspections or shipment of hardware.
- Develop Quality plans for receiving inspection, manufacturing operations, assembly & test processes, and final inspection.
- Work directly with customers and suppliers to identify root cause and corrective action.
- Present in front of end item customers for management reviews, material review boards, and product failure investigations.
- Improve cost for inspection and prevent cost due to failure through statistical analysis and problem solving.
- Occasional travel to support customer and program needs.
