Requirements

  • 4-10 years of professional experience with an environmental/engineering consulting firm.
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited program.
  • A New Jersey Professional Engineering license (PE) is desirable. An engineer in training is acceptable, and a commitment to obtain PE within one year is required.
  • 40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER and 10-hour OSHA Construction training.
  • Technical experience with in-situ and ex-situ treatment system design, cost estimating, local/state/federal permitting, and design and implementation of site remediation programs, including feasibility evaluations, remedy selection, and optimization.
  • Experience completing permit and design plans and specifications for local, state, and federal agencies.
  • Knowledge of local regulatory programs.
  • Experience with management of remediation contractors.
  • Demonstrated experience with scoping, budgeting, and implementation of remedial programs.
  • Ability to delegate and organize field teams.
  • Excellent organizational, technical writing, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and complete technical tasks for remediation projects.
  • Manage a diverse range of challenging and engaging remediation projects.
  • Select, coordinate, and manage subcontractors.
  • Estimate costs and manage the scope, schedule, and budget for various project tasks.
  • Prepare detailed design plans and specifications.
  • Conduct technical report writing and interact with project staff, clients, and regulatory agencies.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with AutoCAD, ArcGIS, Procure, stormwater models, Python/R, contaminant modeling software, and/or database software is preferred.
