Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Computer Science or a quantitative discipline with a strong academic record
  • Strong proficiency in advanced MS Excel (including VBA) and MS PowerPoint is required; experience with Tableau is a plus
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or SQL with experience in data analysis and manipulation is a plus
  • Familiarity with fixed income, FX and/or derivatives
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, high EQ, and the ability to handle interactions confidently and competently with deal professionals, operations teams, and senior management
  • Ability to work in a dynamic environment and handle multiple projects while prioritizing deliverables and meeting demanding deadlines in support of a growing / evolving business
  • Strong attention to detail and highly motivated; able to complete projects independently

Responsibilities

  • Support the analysis and presentation of investment opportunities and capital allocation to senior leadership
  • Contribute to the analysis and execution of financing initiatives for Blackstone’s balance sheet
  • Support the construction of regular and ad-hoc investment committees, liquidity and risk analysis and reporting
  • Liaise with Finance and Operations teams on regular month-end/quarter-end reporting and assist with any ad-hoc inquiries
  • Oversee market data and collateral management processes
  • Facilitate the closing process for Treasury investments; coordinating with both internal and external stakeholders and ensuring that all investment activity is accurately captured and processed in the relevant system of record
  • Contribute to projects on automation of initiatives across the Treasury platform; working with counterparts in Operations, Finance and Technology
  • Work closely with offshore support team including through oversight of standard operating procedures
  • Proactively identify opportunities to enhance operational efficiency through technology-driven solutions and lead implementation of automation/upgrade initiatives across the Treasury platform working with counterparts in Operations, Finance and Technology

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience in a finance, credit, or operations role is preferred, but not required
  • Accounting knowledge is a plus
