Requirements
- Master’s degree in mechanical engineering, mechatronics, robotics, controls, precision systems engineering, or other relevant discipline.
- Three years of relevant experience, including at least one year of prior work experience in mechanical engineering, mechatronics, robotics, controls, precision systems engineering, or other relevant disciplines.
- Prior experience with standard aspects of equipment development, including CAD software, and modeling and simulation software.
- Goal-oriented and demonstrated ability to prioritize and multitask.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work well in teams.
- Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.
Responsibilities
- Designs, fabricates, assembles and tests equipment systems.
- Creates and maintains up-to-date CADs of equipment systems.
- Assists with researching and procuring various equipment sub-systems.
- Compiles reports on costs and inventory levels.
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced degree in mechanical engineering, mechatronics, robotics, controls, precision systems engineering, or other relevant disciplines.
- Prior experience in nanofabrication, precision machine design, mechatronics, systems and controls, instrumentation, or optical systems design.
- Experience working in a research or start-up environment.
