Requirements
- Credentialed Veterinary Technician, license must be current in Connecticut
- 2+ years of veterinary technician experience is required
- Knowledge of industry tools and equipment
- Experience with proper animal handling and restraint
- Understands the importance of client education
- Positive and supportive team-player
- Able to multi-task proficiently and professionally
- Willing to continue their education
- Must be able to work some weekends and evenings/ rotating schedule
Responsibilities
- Confidently work with the veterinarian, other technicians, and customer service staff
- Rooming patients
- Assisting in surgery and surgical recovery
- Knowledge of x-ray and positioning
- Drawing blood and running bloodwork using Idexx equipment and other in-house laboratory equipment
Preferred Qualifications
- Avimark knowledge preferred, not required
- Knowledge of Idexx equipment preferred, not required
- Bi-lingual would be preferred, but not required
