Requirements
- Master’s Degree in Social Work (MSW)
- New York State License as a Licensed Masters Social Worker (LMSW)
Responsibilities
- Provide critical support in both inpatient and outpatient settings to enhance patient care and streamline clinical operations
- Work as part of a multidisciplinary team on the inpatient unit and in the outpatient clinic
- Consult on all EMU admissions to address psychosocial needs and assist with the coordination of care
- Provide ongoing psychosocial support and counseling, advocacy, community referrals, and coordination of concrete services
- Establish and lead a regional epilepsy support group
Preferred Qualifications
- At least one year of inpatient Medical/Surgical experience
- Experience in a busy outpatient setting
- Experience working with interdisciplinary teams
