Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is required.
- Seven (7) years of accounting experience, with construction accounting experience preferred.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and multi-tasking abilities.
- Excellent communication skills in English.
- Bilingual in Spanish is valuable.
- Knowledge of Insite/SAP.
- Mastery of MS Excel.
- Working knowledge of MS Access, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze job performance, budgets, and manage forecast updates and revisions to budgets.
- Prepare monthly financial reports and analyze variances compared to previous forecasts.
- Communicate routinely with Project Managers, Area Managers, and Operations Executives on various job-related topics.
- Coordinate financial communication and reporting with JV partners.
- Oversee job cost allocations to ensure all costs incurred are captured accurately in the financial statements and that the project’s financial results reflect the status of the projects and comply with company accounting policies.
- Partner with Operations Management and Project Control department to create and analyze KPIs for strategic decision-making.
- Support the Deputy and Chief Financial Officer in developing written accounting procedures for staff operations and ensure proper implementation and compliance.
- Provide interpretation of financial information to executive management.
- Innovate in the development of new ideas to improve accounting systems.
Preferred Qualifications
- Construction accounting experience preferred.
