Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree, plus 2 years of administrative experience.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Excellent interviewing skills.
Responsibilities
- Assists in processing applications to the BSSW and MSW programs.
- Facilitates the gatekeeping process to help ensure that students have a thorough understanding of the profession of social work.
- Engages students in the self-assessment process to ensure that students are a good fit for the program and profession.
- Develops and maintains the admissions, gatekeeping, and tracking systems.
- Assists applicants and participates in student interviews to determine readiness for a professional social work program.
- Advises students to support them through the program.
- Supports the program through data tracking and analysis.
- Assists the Chair, Program Director, and Director of Field Education in other programmatic and accreditation matters.
- Communicates with other teams within the department and other university departments to facilitate collaboration.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree plus 2 or more years of administrative experience.
- Experience in the social work or human services profession.
- Customer service experience.
- Interviewing experience.
