Managed and scaled a team with 15+ engineers with machine learning skills. Experience mentoring and growing engineering managers and technical leads.
7+ years of experience in AI, machine learning, or related fields, with a track record of successfully leading large-scale AI / machine learning projects launched in products with a significant impact on users / customers.
Exceptional communication skills, capable of collaborating with stakeholders from various backgrounds to translate the business / product roadmap into AI-driven technical roadmaps & solutions and add significant value to customers and the business.
Deep understanding of the latest AI technologies and their application in business contexts, including deep learning, recommendation systems, NLP, generative AI, or related areas.
Advanced degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, or a related field.

Directly responsible for managing a team or multiple teams of Machine Learning and Full-stack engineers.
Developing SMART goals and career development plans for direct reports.
Heavily involved in interviewing, hiring, and leveling up the team.
Working with the team on project planning and defining achievements, identifying dependencies, and meeting business goals.
Develop and execute comprehensive technical strategies that align with Klaviyo’s business goals, ensuring products are not only exceptional but also aligned with the broader vision for a reliable and user-friendly AI/ML platform.
Engage with external and internal stakeholders to understand their needs, resolve blockers, and handle expectations. Translate the customer’s needs into AI-driven roadmaps and solutions that add significant value to customers and the business.
Advising the team on modeling & system design and implementation decisions
Iterate and improve upon engineering wide processes like recruiting, performance development, communication, and agile development.
Stay abreast of emerging AI trends and technologies, identifying and leveraging opportunities for their application within Klaviyo’s ecosystem.

Experience working in B2B businesses and interacting with customers directly
Experience collaborating with Product organizations or other cross-functional organizations to develop machine learning solutions that impact the business.
