Requirements
- Three (3) years of full-time technical experience in the mechanical/electrical/electronic systems/equipment
- Five (5) years of full-time engineering experience onboard submarines in the operation, maintenance, installation, test, or repair of combat systems and/or weapons handling equipment. Experience in evaluating the material condition of ship systems and implementing corrective action
- Must have an active secret US government clearance
Responsibilities
- Provide highly skilled technical support and serve as a regional technical authority for direct fleet support of Atlantic Fleet Submarines
- Apply knowledge of engineering theory and methodology in the analysis and resolution of problems encountered in submarine technical support/field service engineering assignments
- Provide shipboard, in-shop, and at-sea technical assistance on controversial problems that have been determined to be beyond the capability of organizational/intermediate-level activities and ship repair facilities
Preferred Qualifications
- Qualified in Submarines
- Experience in the operations, troubleshooting, and repair of Weapons Shipping, Handling, and Launching Systems on the 774 Class submarines
