Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in the development of radio systems
- Experience with detailed test plans, requirements traceability and system verifications.
- Experience with embedded devices and Software Defined Radios.
- Familiar with wireless communication standards (Bluetooth, 3G/4G/5G, Wi-Fi, SINCGARS, MUOS, etc.).
- Solid understanding of PHY and MAC layers of modern OFDM-based wireless systems
- Strong foundation in estimation / detection techniques, random processes and probability theory
- Working knowledge of wireless systems link budgets and wireless channel models
- Experience with multi-antenna spatial processing techniques
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Responsibilities
- Design of advanced software defined radios in support of next generation products including drones.
- Contribute to development of software and testing.
- Provide wireless communication expertise to set specifications and debug problems.
- Perform design validation testing of prototype and production designs.
- Contribute to various aspects of the integration of the radios into aircraft and other systems.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree or PhD in electrical engineering with some research/thesis work on wireless communication systems.
- Experience with LTE, 5G NR, or WiMax PHY protocols is highly desired
- Ability to work in a fast paced, autonomously driven, and demanding start-up atmosphere
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
