Requirements
- A strong combination of technical experience, hands-on capability, technical leadership experience
- Significant (5+ years) design & implementation experience in multi-cloud environments (GCP, AWS, Azure)
- Deep understanding of DevOps and SRE Best Practices
- Experience with architecture and operation of container technologies such as Kubernetes, Karpenter, Istio
- Expertise with Linux system administration, networking and security, ideally in a Cloud environment
- Strong proficiency with Infrastructure-as-Code such as Terraform, Ansible, Helm
- Expertise with modern CI/CD systems such as ArgoCD, GitHub Actions
- Experience in using, monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, OpenTelemetry, Grafana, ELK stack)
- Experience with microservices architectures and debugging/investigation techniques
- Scripting knowledge – proficiency with Python, Bash, PowerShell, JS or similar languages
- Adept in communicating with users, other technical teams, and senior management to collect requirements, describe software product features, technical designs, and product strategy
- Experience collaborating with Data Engineers and Scientists building ML & ETL pipelines
Responsibilities
- Handle improvement of reliability and resiliency of managed services and infrastructure
- Partner with development teams to improve services and best practices into the SDLC
- Mentor and develop junior engineers, growing their knowledge, skill set and capability
- Use the latest industry standard tools and best practices to meet the evolving needs of our internal engineers, developers and external customers
- Manage Cloud provider infrastructure, system deployments & product release operations
- Continuously evaluate and implement new technologies to enhance the efficiency of our infrastructure
- Participate in system design consulting, platform management and capacity planning
- Develop and maintain documentation on system architecture, operations, and troubleshooting procedures
- Participate in an on-call rotation, using a follow-the-sun model
